2018 bullet journal setup

2018 bullet journal
This year I decided to dive into the world of bullet journaling, and I couldn't be more excited about it! I've used a traditional planner for the longest time, so I'm really looking forward to the freedom and creativity of a bullet journal! I've been following so many people who do absolutely beautiful spreads in their journal, and they've definitely been the inspiration behind my desire to try it out. I put together a little video showing you the pages I did for my 2018 setup!

diy magical gifts

diy magical gifts
Handmade gifts are my favorite, because they are so much fun to make and everyone loves receiving something made especially for them. Every year when December comes around, I love spending my weekends baking treats for my friends or working on DIY projects to give them as gifts! I put together a video showing you some ideas for gifts you can make for your friends and family this year!

I've been working on some new things for my shop and after spending many nights this week staying up late designing, I've created a printable journaling kit and a new sticker sheet! The long nights were worth it though because I absolutely love the finished products!

Travel Diary How-to

Travel Diary DIY
I've recently been updating my travel diary with pictures and writings of my summer spent living in Yellowstone, and I thought it would be fun to show you guys how you can start your own travel diary! In my video I also show you how to put together a tiny travel craft kit that you can bring along with your diary. There's something so nice about having a physical book to flip through when I want to relive old memories. I hope you give this a try!

art journal #1

art journal
One of my favorite ways to spend the morning is making a big cup of coffee and working in my art journal. I broke in a new art journal recently and started it off with a floral April spread. I included all of my favorite things (flowers, blush pink, pretty words) because this is an especially happy month for me as an Aries!

PWM + Free Printable

pwm + free printable
For this week's planner spread, I knew I wanted to do a vintage rose theme but I didn't have any embellishments that matched my idea. So I put together a printable sheet of decorations using vintage clip art and some hand designed elements. It turned out so cute that I decided to offer it as a freebie!

Vision Board DIY

vision board DIY
A vision board can be a powerful tool to help you visualize and realize your dreams. Not only are they fun to make, but vision board will help you focus on your goals, and create the life you want! The most important thing to remember when creating your vision board is that everything on should evoke a feeling of joy, not lack. Don't put a picture on your board of something you want, if every time you look at it you are sad that you don't have it yet. You create your life through joy and excitement! Check out the end of this post for a video tutorial!

valentine's pocket letter

valentine's pocket letter
Hello friends! So the pocket letter trend has been around for a while, but I haven't tried making one until now! That's crazy considering how much I love making penpal letters, but I'm so glad I tried making one - it was so much fun! This one I made was Valentine's themed, and I think it turned out super cute. I'm looking forward to making more pocket letters! I made a video to show my process of making this, so check that out at the end of the post!

winter notes

winter notes
It's finally starting to feel like winter here in Alabama, and I'm loving it. Jaron and I decided to go out and enjoy the cooler weather by exploring downtown, stopping by a warm coffee shop, and then taking a walk in the park. By the time the sun went down we were ready to head home and cozy up with some blankets and hot tea. Check out the end of the post for a little video diary of our day.

2016

for 2016
2015 was reconnecting with old friends and making so many new ones, leaving behind my teenage years, so much live music, lots of road trips, embracing vulnerability, late nights, long talks with good people, laughter, hard decisions, finding myself, opportunity, the universe working in just the right ways, and so much love I almost can't believe how blessed I am.

When I think back to where I was a year ago, I am amazed at where I am today. So many experiences to be thankful for, so many things that I thought would bring me down but brought me to a much better place. I am very much looking forward to the new year, and I've set a few goals for myself:

1. Practice creativity daily
The past couple months I have been making creativity a priority in my life, and I have felt more inspired than ever before. For 2016, I want to set aside time everyday to do something creative. I also want to set weekly goals for something creative to accomplish throughout the week.

2. Be mindful and present
I want to make an effort to continuously be mindful and present in everything I do. I want to accept everything without judgement, to be content simply being, to live my life deliberately. A year from now I will be graduating, ending a chapter of my life that has defined me for so long. I want to make the most of my last year of college, by not focusing on anything except the present moment.

3. Embrace positivity
I'm a firm believer that that what you put out into the universe is what will come back to you. I want to radiate positivity, to erase negative thoughts, and send out good vibes.

4. Trust
I need to trust that everything that happens in my life is part of my story, that will lead me to where I'm meant to be. I don't need to be fearful of the future if I trust in the ways of the universe. I am exactly where I need to be. I also need to trust in myself, that I can do whatever I dream of doing, that I have the capability to change my life. No more doubting myself.

I wish the best for all of you in 2016, thank you for all the love you've given me the past year. It means more than you know. ♥︎

"You must learn to get in touch with the innermost essence of your being. This true essence is beyond the ego. It is fearless; it is free; it is immune to criticism; it does not fear any challenge. It is beneath no one, superior to no one, and full of magic, mystery, and enchantment."

2016 memory jar

diy memory jar
Every year I make a memory jar, to fill with all the happy things that happen to me throughout the year. I'm very much looking forward to 2016, so I plan on filling this jar up with lots of memories. I also made a little video to show you how I made my jar, and to give you inspiration to make your own!

My past years jars: 2013, 2014, 2015.

pretty things
To make your own, just recycle a jar from the kitchen,  and collect pretty paper scraps, ribbon, stickers, and anything else you find in your craft stash. Decorate your jar however you'd like, and maybe make an extra one to give to a friend!

memory jar
These jars look so pretty sitting on a nightstand or bookshelf, and I have my collection of past year's jars lining a shelf above my desk!
