letter to Gwen
I've been playing around with new photo editing software, so these photos have a slightly different feel than usual. I have to say, I still prefer photoshop and I think I'll just return to using it again. Anyway, I thought I'd share my most recent letter to my penpal, Gwen. I've waited a while to post these photos because I wanted to make sure she received the letter before I gave it away!
I painted and wrote on pieces of kraft paper, and taped a few little extra things on the bottom.
The envelope that I used is made out of Japanese rice paper (I think!). I found a pack of these envelopes at an art supply store in Savannah, Ga. I love them because they are plain and perfect to add embellishments to.
I hope everyone is having a fantastic week! ♥
Ohhh ! Your letter is so pretty ! ♥
ReplyDeleteI really love this idea of having a correspondant !
Have a nice day ♥
Thank you so much!! Have a lovely day as well! ♥
DeleteCan I, like Jordan Mitchell or Frida, email you ? ♥
DeleteOf course!! :D I would love for you to! ♥
DeleteI sent the email ! ♥
DeleteI need to find a pen pal
ReplyDeleteHaving a pen pal is awesome! I'm always open to more people to write to (I love writing letters!), so feel free to send me an email if you ever want to be pen pals!
DeleteThat sounds like so much fun, we should absolutely do that. But first I nominated you for the Liebster award. For all the info and questions check out my blog. http://jordanelizabeth0203.blogspot.com/2013/09/the-liebster-award.html
DeleteHow did you find your pen pal ? Is there any way that i could get one too ? (:
ReplyDeleteAnd it would be really nice if u posted something with your favorite quotes, cause i'm trying to make myself a little wall filled with quotes !
Love your blog !
She discovered my blog and realized we love all of the same things, so she emailed me and asked if I wanted to be pen pals (and I'm so happy she did because now we're friends and we've been writing each other for almost a year now!). Like I told Jordan in the comment above, I love writing letters to people, and if you're interested in being pen pals, you can email me!
DeleteThat's a great idea for a post, I think I will do that! Thanks for the idea! :) A wall filled with quotes sounds fun!
Thank you so much! ♥
I'm planning on making my best friend a similar thing to the letter you sent to Gwen, but for her birthday. So I wonder if you have any ideas on what to put in it? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAnd btw your blog is really amazing and inspiring!
First of all, thank you so much!! ♥
DeleteI think that's a great idea to give to your friend as a gift! Here are some things I thought of that you could put in it:
- A little handmade booklet with memories and quotes and photos of you two
- Pretty stickers
- A small necklace or beaded bracelet
- A list of your favorite memories together
- Write your favorite poem (or song lyrics) by hand on nice paper and add little illustrations around the edges
- A mixtape
- If you don't live near each other, then a postcard from your town/state
- A handmade matchbook notebook (I have a DIY post on how to make them!)
- Little illustrations/paintings tied together with twine (you could make them on playing-card sized paper)
Hope this helped! Have fun making your letter!
This is so charming, I keep coming back to it! xo
ReplyDeleteThank you!! ♥♥
DeleteYour blog is so lovely, i discoevred thanks to Elisa's blog (Granie) and i really love your Universe!
ReplyDeleteMaybe in the future, i will search for an international penpal too, i love writting letters. =)
Thank you, I'm so happy you like it! ♥ I love having pen pals, writing letters is one of my favorite things too!
