surprise

We started planning at the beginning of September. It took us more than a month to put it all together; give people invitations, decide on food to serve, and the hardest part, keeping it a secret. My friend and I set up a surprise party for our other friend, and it turned out perfect. It was a crisp, autumn night with a clear sky, great music, and good company. It's nights like these that slow down time and remind you of the good things in life.

Later that weekend the three of us took a trip to the beach for the day. It was such pretty weather and so nice to be back by the ocean. I missed it. We got delicous ice cream (toasted coconut for all of us) at a local creamery. We layed on the beach and enjoyed the sunshine. We watched the sunset on the drive back home.We made plans to do this again soon. Very soon.
