Every year around the holidays I bake some festive treats for my friends, and this year is no different! When I found a recipe for these peppermint sandwich cookies on the Hot for Food blog, I knew they would be perfect for gifts! I had so much fun making them, and figuring out cute ways to package them! (ps. Check out the end of this post for a behind the scenes video on how I shoot my blog posts!)
The cookies were super easy to make and turned out delicious even without frosting! However, the peppermint frosting makes them perfect for the holidays, and I love how they look with the crushed candy canes.
I found these printed paper bags at Target- they are perfect for packaging small treats! I also included a few peppermint sticks, which I wrapped in a glassine bag and washi tape.
I've already given away the first batch of these cookies I made, so I need to make some more!
