During the summer, I rarely wear makeup. Summers in the southeast are hot and humid, so by midday most of my makeup has already melted off my face. I love the summer, but as soon as it starts getting in the high 90's, I know it's time to put my eyeshadow collection away.
But sometimes I just want to add a little something extra, so I have three beauty products that are my summer basics.
I love the Covergirl Natureluxe balms. They add the perfect amount of color to your lips, and they're super moisturizing. The color I'm using is "hibiscus".
The other two things I like to use are a flick of eyeliner and a coat or two of mascara. Right now I'm loving Topshop's Kohl liner, it's very blend-able and you can sharpen it to a point to draw a thin line on your eyelid. Although I have a favorite drug store mascara, I got this Eyeko mascara a few months ago and I really like it. I do have one complaint though; when the weather gets really hot, it tends to rub off a little under my eyes. Nothing too bad, I guess that's to be expected with any mascara in this heat.

ReplyDeleteDuring the summer i use a bit of golden eyeshadow right under my eyebrows as a highlighter, it gives you that summer glow ;) and i use just a bit of mascara and lipstick.

DeleteOooh, that's a very good idea! I'm going to try that. And maybe a bit of gold in the inner corners of your eyes to make them sparkle. Time to go pull out my gold eyeshadow!
