about me

So I have been blogging for a couple months now and I realized I really haven't told you all much about myself. When I read a blog, I like knowing a bit about the person behind it all. And I like when blogs are personal (but not too personal), just enough so you can  feel the personality of the person (as hard as that is to do over the internet). So enough babbling; here are some facts about myself.
  1. I LOVE ANYTHING FRENCH. This is not an exaggeration. Which is why I am taking French classes to become fluent and so when I move to Paris, I won't just be an American tourist, I will be an American who speaks French and therefore won't be looked down upon by the Parisiens. (Hopefully)
  2. I think washi tape is the best craft material invented, as you could tell by walking into my room and seeing my ever-growing collection of it proudly on display above my desk.
  3. When it comes to more formal artwork (not just crafts), my favorite medium to use is watercolors.
  4. I am planning on opening an etsy shop (you may have seen that little button over on the sidebar that I probably need to remove since it's been 4 months and I haven't opened my shop yet). I wanted to open it by December, just in time for the gift-buying season, but we'll see if that happens. Not making any promises here.
  5. In case anyone was wondering, I am still in high school. And that is  a little strange considering most kids my age couldn't care less about the latest japanese craft book or learning a new embroidery technique. But I still have some faith in my generation because just the other day, I saw a girl at my school with this super cute crocheted hat, and I found out she crocheted it herself! You could say I was a bit more then surprised (but in a good way).
  6. I have no idea what I want to be when I grow up. Not even what I want to major in when I go to college. But I'm really not that worried about it. Yet.
  7. I AM A HUGE, FANATICAL, HARRY POTTER GEEK. If you've never read it, you won't understand. If you have read it and you don't like it (oh, the horror!), I'm sorry, but I don't think we can be friends. (Just kidding! Sort of...) Btw, any other Hary Potter fans out there looking forward to Pottermore? I unfortunately was not able to get in early, but I can't wait until it opens for the whole public!
  8. I ALWAYS have a book with me. I love reading, so I keep a novel in my purse/schoolbag at all times, so I can pull it out and read it when I don't have anything else to do.
And because this sort of pertains to this post, don't forget you can find me at Pinterest, Deviant Art, and Flickr.

I may add to this list, so if it periodically changes, that's why.
